Opinion on ripping commissioned custom content
Posted by: Trompovsky - 05-30-2018, 10:34 PM - Forum: Second Life - Replies (2)

I had considered this topic to be into support initially, but I believe it's more of an opinion question than support. Feel free to move this topic if the case.

In the process of making my "dev kit" pack contribution Guests cannot see links in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see links. I ended up collecting a few custom color mods. These "custom" ones were either things that people created for themselves or commissioned through an artist. So they're unique and sorta intended that way. (Some have "plz don't steal" hidden in the texture... XD)

Question is: Would be cool to share these here in the forums? What are your thoughts and opinion on doing this?

I got these custom works basicly because I saw people in-world. Which means they ended up in my cache. And I ripped. Initially just a few because I found them cool, but then I've started to get almost anything that was at least decent in quality (some are worse than original, some are even better). Some of these are quite exotic in the sense of very intricate unique details, while some are just "different" (I.e. I got a "tiger mod" for Garou, which is a wereWOLF, but the tiger looks just average).

But one funny thing that happened is that I've scavenged things so deep I managed to rip... Unreleased content. As in, I believe it will be released in the future, despite I heard no news about it yet even...

I won't comment about the process I've managed to get pre-release content, but I'll say it was a mix of luck, and a mix of being too much of a fan of Mike Ehrmantraut...

I really want to start making clothes. I have the trial version of the program and I'd love to have it... But not enough to spend 50bucks a month on it... Is there a crack or somethin that works on it?

Free Bakes On Mesh Simulator by Omega
Posted by: Dina-Myte - 05-30-2018, 12:25 AM - Forum: Second Life - Replies (2)

Omega has a free bakes on mesh simulator for mesh bodies and heads inworld Guests cannot see links in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see links.
You have to use the Official SL viewer for bakes on mesh

You also have to take off alphas for it to work

Strawberry Singh has a video on it Guests cannot see links in the messages. Please register to forum by clicking here to see links.

I put this in discussion because it's experimental and there are issues. For instance the mesh you're using has to be omega compatible. You can use any old skin but the nails and fingers may be weird. One way I can see it being helpful is to try different skins on mesh heads without having to make an applier.

  Question about VIP...thanks for reading!
Posted by: slbored - 05-29-2018, 08:38 AM - Forum: INTRODUCTIONS - Replies (7)

Been lurking for a time I gave up on SL a long while back but I still use Opensim and come here now and then to grab stuff I hate to build like clothes hair fashion stuff mostly. Been thinking I would like to get VIP status going but I really don't do money online anymore. However I have an original *LINDEN PRIM* in my inventory and since you guys like creator prims I  was wondering if it might be worth VIP status?

Thanks to this community!
