Kirsten Lee's viewer has come back to life
#1
Kirsten Lee Cinquetti made the first viewer with live shadows and lots of effects that pleased photographers in Second Life.
This viewer has woken up from its slumber now:

"Hello virtual peeps!

Just a quick hello, was dismayed at the amount of downloads from SF of a very broken/old S22 viewer not a good experience or reflection of SL if anyone attempted a login!
So decided to do some housekeeping... 3 weeks later, wikis , readme, code, libs etc etc"

N.B. As with many other news items, Nalates Urriah was the first one to announce this.
Her blog is the most useful news page I know about Second Life.

It works pretty well, only on Windows right now and no viewer support.
The anaglyph 3D mode works pretty well as long as you have a pair of red/cyan glasses

Ugh..I'd never be able to take a good pic in SL as it sits..even with a new viewer. It seems like the graphics become so much more advanced, that if I had to do anything besides take a picture, I wouldn't be able to move..LOL.
