Please register to forum by clicking here to see links. What exactly do you want people to contribute.  I have been here since 2013  and  I think this may be my 4th post.   I  have used the viewers some.  but not all that much.   mostly to get full perms on items I want to modify.   The site offers the viewers for free,  yet anyone who downloads it is immediately called a leach if they don't contribute what??  what is it that you want?   You want us to be active in the forums? you want 250 post?   Maybe if new members were not met by jerks who call them  bottom feeders and leach...  do you expect the questions to be advanced tech stuff  from noobs?     And how ironic is it that anyone at this site is basically the definition of a leach considering we are all copying other peoples work... .  I personally don't have much to contribute because I rarely use the tools offered here.  I think most of you are more advanced users than myself, so although I read your post,  I just don't have much to say.   So call me  a leach along with any other  low use members just  make sure your looking in the mirror when you do it...  if you want to promote the site, then stop driving away people,  If you don't want anyone else here, then close the site..  Or just  keep being angry trolls who attack noobs  cause they are easy prey..

I totally agree with you, this forum has more prohibition rules, than incentives, I already had an account that reached the level of proud, I made a tutorial on how to recover textures lost in an export, but why one day I got 10 hours logged in the forum, for not turning off my computer, my account has been banned. So I ask is this fair? I think so hypocrisy, a forum that calls the leeches newcomers, if this forum was made just to suck the work of others within SL.

This Forum is like a ship without a crew.
No driver, no one takes care of the engines.
The owner believes that the ship can govern itself, or rather, which can be maneuvered by passengers.
So the ship goes, without a goal, often turning around, because something breaks down in the engine room

See, that's why you have trouble, you want it to act like a ship, but it isn't a ship.  The forum is the water and you got your own boat, you can go good places or you can hit rocks.

While I'm in the mood maybe I'll say a little about that shit you quoted too. Yes, a lot of us are grouchy assholes, unapologetic ones. We get tired of the endless stream of people who show up and ask the same shit over and over, when it's posted more ways than I care to count that people need to READ the 'read this first' shit before asking things. If people don't want to do that, or, if they did and they don't like how things are done, yeah, don't let the door hit you on the ass. Or if you gonna hang around do it quietly, there's a saying the nail that sticks out is the one that gets pounded.

What to contribute? That has two overall answers, one is, it's suggested about that in those 'read this first' stuff, the other is just look around and see what is already being shared recently and share more of that same kind of thing.

No, I personally don't expect advanced tech questions from noobs, I don't expect beginner ones either though because all the beginner questions have already the answers posted, most of them multiple times. The logic of that if you follow it out is that really, the only questions that usually should be getting asked at all, is yes, advanced ones. Occasionally there is some new wrinkle that is a kind of basic topic relatively speaking, that might not yet have been addressed already, but in such cases it needs to be demonstrated by the one asking, that they have been thru the search both here and Google and done some effort before asking.

The rest of that noise I already spoke to in my previous post on this thread.

ok, not a ship. (I have written which is like a ship without a crew). In any case I do not think it is a well-managed forum.

I do not want to debate. I just expressed my opinion after having spent some time reading posts in the areas where I am allowed to enter.

Well, at least unlike some you have expressed what you think respectfully. Also I see you do have already posted a couple of shares, so good on you for that too. Another thought regarding complaints in general occurred to me last night and I was already in bed and didn't want to get back up to post it.

My house is an utter cluttered mess. But I live here, I am used to it. I know where everything is, and if someone moves anything while I'm not looking I will immediately know someone messed with my stuff. Now, if a friend comes over, that has known me for a long time, that friend can say "This place is a wreck!", and I will just laugh and agree. But if someone stops by that I don't know at all, or barely met one or two times, and say "This place is a wreck!", he will find himself bouncing in the yard. For me, and I suspect for a lot of us, this forum is a bit like that. It may have issues, granted, but who has been here a long time has accepted and works around those issues and are happy here in spite of them. Someone like that, who has been here long time, can grumble and it is received a lot differently, than someone been here a week and say exactly the same. You see?

The forum is not a ship, as you wrote. I agree
Now you tell me that it is a home. Your house.
I'm a bit confused.

lol.  A houseboat. Wink

Once you post something, those words tend to have a life of their own apart from you. Anyway I'm not so much debating you as, sometimes things spoken make me think a little, and sometimes, I'm not too lazy to write a little about that thinking. At that point it has very little to do with anything other than I had a mood to rattle a little. Also I'm a Gemini, and it is very much possible that, if I were able to forget that I said a thing, and someone changed the name on the post so that I saw it and thought someone else said it, I'd just as easily take a semi-opposing stance just because I'm a Gemini. If I dual logged certain ones of my alts inworld they would fight, and even probably ban each other from their respective properties.

Sounds like to me whether it is a ship, house or a houseboat Novella wants to move in?

Sorry I couldn’t resist?

I don't think you get banned for leaving your computer on, I do it all the time. It's more likely that you were inactive for a period of time and the system will auto ban you. I'm not sure about the time frame. I'll research it a bit.

Good point... On my opinnion yes there is a crew. It is a cooperative place.
The fact is: Real people must put real life in first place. The forum is working... We have all the tools we need to share something.
Novella, respectfully: I can't find any reason for attack the people who dedicate more than us to keep this forum working.
I can understand there are tools for different levels and few of KG Fórum tools are on King Goon hands. I can understand he has a real life, it came first... and a opportunist knew it and came here to mess people who contributed to keep copyboot advancing in technology, knowledgement, stuff and tools. Let's aim our efforts in not fuck the patience of people who dedicate themselves on help us.
A boat without a crew don't develop best technology than it's concurrency or rivals. It is only my oppinion as well. Then I try to aim my guns not on those who gaves this forum and its tools to us. I preffer aim my guns on those who can't walk without a leash. At the same time I know is just a question of time and who needs a leash will have the ass kicked out from here by the admiral.
