What happened with Lumiya?

I have been using Lumiya for the last couple of weeks and it perfectly works for me, without any problem of malware.

The only real problem I see with it is that all its capacities with 3d and as 3dVR glasses are unuseful because it cannot manage too much memory and does not show very well textures, as well as imposible to use to build anything.

Under my poor consideration, it is only a little viewer in case of urgence in order to, for example, meet some people inworld when we are far from our PC.

But no more, insist, only at my very humble opinion.

Yours,
Claire

I tend to agree. perhaps it is different for users of I-phones etc but I have an Android and I find it to load very slowly, and be .. well less than ~easy~ as far as using the features / interaction with object etc. I certainly wouldn't be happy with it as a surrogate viewer.

Lumiya was never intended to do stuff like build, or anything else but move around and chat.

Compared to what came before it on mobile devices it's a miracle it does what it does.

It's like comparing someone that uses their pc on a 50" LED tv screen to do cad with a high end graphics tablic and super high end pc gear to then do exact same thing on a low end laptop with a 13" screen with built in graphics card and 2gb memory and just the mouse pad on laptop itself.

It just ain't going to happen.

Or to put it in very simple Laymen terms:

It's like going to buy a PC game that needs 8gb ram, 64gb hard drive space, gamepad, keyboard / mouse, top of the range 8gb vid card then say ok, go play that on ya laptop that you bought for $300 on high graphic settings, with no gamepad or mouse n keyboard, just lappy keyboard and track pad.

The 2 can never ever ever be compared to each other.

So to sum up:
Lumiya as a mobile SL client: Awesome.
Firestorm and singularity as PC SL clients: Awesome.
LL viewer: total shite lol

I totally agree, Milady, specially that "it's a miracle it (Lumiya) does what it does" with only those little means.

That is, Lumiya is just a good "viewer", in the exclusive meaning of the term that has a "viewer".

Even has the posibility tu be used as 3d Glasses did not you know?. Said: a good mobile viewer and chatter.

In my own experience, it's a very good summary explanation, Milady. Thank you very much.

Claire
