The currently most complete and secure viewer?
#1
Rainbow
Dear friends and honours, I would need to be sure about this case and need your unvaluable and kind help:

Currently, what is the most complete Opensim|Secondlife viewer, which can do everything that all the others do and that is more effective in doing it?

It is to not have to be using one for each thing if there is already one that can do everything (or almost) and well, thus also increasing security control over directories|folders and detectable|traceable files.

Thank you very much in advance.

Yours,
Claire

For me personally I would have to say Firestorm viewer
For both Linux and windows 10 I never get any crashes, and never had any security problems with it either.

And I'm sure others would say same about Singularity.

But since the Majority of users use Firestorm, if there was anything iffy about it, it would of come to light well before now.

Firestorm is the most complete and up to date. But it routes your logins thru their server. You can avoid that by hacking the xml and pointing it to the LL login page instead, or at least that was possible some time back when I had reason to mess with it.

SL banned? Search 'technitium', 'MAC changer', 'serial changer', 'ban evasion', 'VPN', 'IP ban', 'hardware ban'.

Thank you very much for your kind and explained answers, dear honours.

Nevertheless, I am afraid I posed my question not too well. I am very sorry.

What I intended to refer to was the same question but only applied to the most complete and secure copybot viewers.

Thank you in advance for your kind help.

Yours,
Claire

No viewer available in new user sections is going to do Bento mesh. Most secure, the only one I can vouch for out there, personally, is OldSkool because I built it, the KDU-included version of it.

Thank thee, Milord Flagg.

Nevertheless, I do not know whether I understood thee correctly.

Do you mean that yours, OldSkool, is the only software that thou art sure does not copy "bent-to" or the only software that thou art sure that does copy "bent-to"?

Sorry for my apprentice status.

Yours,
Claire

Bento mesh is a recent development by the Lab which makes mesh more versatile, and only very current viewers can see it properly. None of the viewers available outside the VIP/Supporter section are up to date in that regard. OldSkool, can not see it properly, but you were asking about security, and I know it is secure, at least as well as I knew how to make it at the time I built it, tho that has been a while. It's actually mostly someone else's (Simms) work that I tuned up and updated from how he had it when he quit messing with viewers. To a point, security has a lot to do with learning how to do things safe and smart no matter what viewer you use, you'll get a feel for that as you go.
