It would be great to search gofile to see what extra code might be needed to display a picture link as an inline image in your message in the forum.  I think the head texture you ripped was likely a bake file, especially as bake files do not show a creator.  It is also true that I could not get this UUID to rezz inworld, which is par for a bake file, which is a temporary/on-the-fly-creation of the SL grid that is sent out as a composite image and is what others will see when they point their viewers at your avatar.  Bake files, afaik, have a short lifespan, and last for your session only, and disappear the moment you log out.

Revelator, the only current safe and working viewer our forum has to offer, does let you see the creator name, w right click/more/inspect/textures -- that gives you the texture window w some UUIDS and you can select a texture and check on
who made it that way -- if there's a creator listed, then it's likely not a bake file and safe to rip.  Find the new revelator here:

Keep going.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the tip, yea the file did not show creator when i did right click to check the texture file. I assumed the guy must have had a ripped texture himself lol. And i was not aware of bake texture so in future i will check to see creator name displayed before i rip. On that note i did rip a full skin and body for aesthetic the vampire Damond skin i think its called. Will have to check everything is working and not bake file this time.

Sweet! And well done -- persistence pays off, it really does. And that's the problem with a stolen skin -- sure it costs only 30L$ to upload all three parts of a skin for a classic avatar, BUT... if someone checks, then will see that the textures belong to you, and not the creator that they may know the skin actually came from. Bake files are made by the SL grid, and so, as they are not uploaded, they have no creator name -- but they don't need creator names, as they're usually inaccessible to the average person and they are short lived. Now, if you rip the bake files for a skin, hey, they are still good textures -- you can always use them in OpenSim, if you wish, or you could mod them yourself w photoshop, etc. Bake files can still have uses, just not as direct shares, and definitely not for your use in SL. That's why we like wearables for skins, eyes, etc, where possible. A wearable will contain the original UUIDs, and so passes a copybot probe of those textures quite easily.
