Make a point to know the style of what you like. When you see an avatar with a certain sort of eyes, and a style of skin -- you may recognize the artwork. Suffice to say, that when you check an avatar for its textures, and you go to rip a certain eye texture (for example), not only can you see the UUID of the texture, but also the NAME of the avatar that uploaded that texture, and when (the time & date) it was uploaded.

Some really nice eyes may catch your attention, so you will check and... yes, the eye texture was by Ikon Innovia, so it's from IKON. Once you rip the texture, you can get a better look at it, possibly check the inworld store and/or the market place to compare what you've got to what's being offered, and there you go. You may even recognize the IKON eye as belonging to a certain series of eyes by IKON --- that helps when it comes to checking this forum to see if what you're about to upload has already been shared or not.

This is the first, and the best thread for using the new revelator; everyone has access to this forum:

.dae is the format for ripping mesh. .xml is the format for ripping non-mesh prims (aka regular prims). When you rip an object, mesh or prim, the scripts and animations DO NOT come with it. Those are like the information that goes with rigging -- it must be added again, after the item is remade.

Many times, when people share something here, it is the case that the has no scripting or animations -- we all know this is because it has been ripped. If you want to include the original animations for an object, that would be great. I think you might want to spend some time in some of the forums for the viewer, as your questions to me have already (largely) been answered in the new user's guide to the copybot and the Revelator For Everyone thread. Other people here will certainly know more about rigging, etc.
