Autodesk FBX Converter

I tried this obj to dae converter this worked well for me
saves having to learn blender Smile

the only thing you have to do is load in your obj file convert it to fbx and then to dae its very easy to use

I.e. from obj --> fbx then fbx --> dae.

Autodesk has had a way to get alot of their programs free.

Student programs that anyone wanting to learn how to use them can get them.

Once you have your account you now have access as you can see here below this is mine.

This gives you the rigging system for Second Life that includes Bento bones.

If I think of anything else that may help I will post more.

Remember......Maya is a Commercial product and is 1000 times more powerful and complicated that Blender. It will take some time to learn how to get around.
